On behalf of our client, a growing international investment group, we are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join their Madrid-based finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of operational finance, reporting, controls and process improvement in a fast-moving, international environment.

Finance Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day finance activity across payables, receivables, expenses, payroll review and internal recharges.
    • Take responsibility for month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journals, accruals and reporting inputs.
    • Prepare management information, budgeting support, forecasts and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
    • Work closely with outsourced accounting providers, auditors, banks and other external partners.
    • Support cash management, payment processes and banking administration across multiple entities.
    • Help improve finance processes, controls, approval workflows and documentation.
    • Contribute to automation and systems improvements as the finance function develops.
    • Act as a reliable finance partner to internal teams across the business.

Profile:

  • Around 5–8 years’ experience in finance operations, controllership, accounting or management reporting.
    • Background in financial services, asset management, investment management or a multi-entity business preferred.
    • Strong understanding of AP, AR, expenses, reconciliations and month-end processes.
    • Comfortable working in an international, multi-currency environment.
    • Advanced Excel and ERP skills preferred.
    • Degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field, or relevant professional qualification.
    • Proactive, organised and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
    • Strong attention to detail, communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
