Leading manufacturing company requires an IFRS specialist to be based in their central Berlin accounting Hub. As a technically competent individual you will assist in implementing and harmonizing the Group’s accounting policies. Our client is fast developing and frequently acquiring new assets around the world and consequently their finance team needs to be kept up to date with IFRS standards and Group policies.

Reporting directly into the Head of Reporting your role will be supporting preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS and preparing group reports and ad-hoc analysis. As an expert within IFRS you will be working closely with the Group and Corporate Reporting teams to review internal processes and research new regulations.

With a focus on best practice, you will verify that all announcements and information relating to the annual report and accounting policies are factually correct and in-line with emerging IFRS requirements (IFRS 18). This is a highly visible role for an individual who will relish the responsibility of being the Group and Corporate teams main port of call for IFRS queries.

Profile:

  • A relevant university degree such as accounting, finance, business economics
  • A minimum of 4+ years of work experience in a relevant role with a strong working knowledge of IFRS and Audit requirements. Ideally, you will have a CPA, ACCA, CIA, ACA or similar qualification
  • Knowledge of IFRS principles and standards, quarterly closing requirements, group reports and/or business processes
  • This role requires analytical and critical thinking, curiosity, and strong communication skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; other languages such as German are a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP business processes and data constructs is beneficial. Exposure to visualisation and modelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Power Bi) is a strong plus
