We are recruiting a Key User Tax to sit in an operational tax hub for a large global company with a shared service finance hub in Berlin, Germany. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, this role is for someone who will drive continuous improvement, standardisation, automation, and digitalisation initiatives across the tax function. The broader tax team is responsible for tax activities in Germany and the international landscape.
Key User Tax Job Responsibilities:
- Develop the technology and automation model in the tax footprint and map out continuous improvements in process design and technical feasibility that can improve operational performance.
- Translating functional requirements into technical system change requests that can be implemented effectively within the supporting systems
- Manage and deliver new process implementations, working with cross-functional hubs and stakeholders in the broader finance and IT/technology teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for tax across the group entities and align with other tax and finance elements to meet industry standards.
Your Profile:
- Ideally, you will be degree-qualified in accounting or finance and have several years of tax experience, preferably within tax consulting or an operational tax department.
- Ideally, you will have been in a similar role, with strong process and project management skills and direct exposure to continuous improvement activities.
- You must have a strong knowledge of global tax laws, regulations, standards, and accounting principles.
- You will have demonstrable experience in functional process design, technology and systems in finance, SAP skills, and tax.
